how to switch the V model from a swep to that of anothers?

im trying to switch the view model of the vapor rifle to the telikinesis hand. i have never done LUA coding before, and sp will i need any editing programs? thanks in advance! :3

Open the lua file for the swep (probberly in lua/weapons/]weaponname] and probberly client.lua will be the one you want) in notepad (or some other such text editor), find the part that reffers to view model and change the path to that of what you want. However your new model may not work as it might not have the right anims.
