As people keep asking how to hex I though I might as well put something to help :) This is a message I sent to my friend explaining how to hex and he seemed to get it ok from it, so here goes: On my front page there is a link to XVI32 hex editor, download that and install it. Once you have done that open a model file (the one you want to hex) and select to open it with that. Then rename the model where it has the name at the top, and then scroll to the bottom and change the names of the textures (making sure to have the same ammount of letters for both as the original names) then save it as what you named it at the top. then copy all the other files (.phy, .sw .dx80x80, .dx90x90, .xbox, may have others) and rename them the same as what you called the hexed file (making sure to keep the .xbox and stuff if your running vista like me and they show up as some other file type) then if you have crafty model viewer make sure it opens in that (as it proves it works) if not spawn it in game to test it. (I added in some links to make it easier to find stuff.) Hope that helps, message me or post below if you get stuck :)
Oh Silver you rock! I've been using the model viewer in the SDK all this time! And it kinda sucks sometimes!

Just what I needed and requested! I owe you one Silver!
Yeah I was just about to say... For me all I see is white, unlite models on a black background.
Just what I needed and requested!
Yeah I was just about to say...
np :D thought you'd like it :P (can you decompile models? as that would be very useful if you could do some for me.)=QUOTE] Um, sorry but I've just started Hammer recently and havn't had the time (or will for a while) to learn how to model. Sorry. EDIT: Um, where did my blue box thingy for the quote go?!?!?
at the end :P
It was supposed to put it automaticlly.... EDIT: lol
the crafty model viewer doesnt have a download on that page.
