I'm currently working on an eyepatchless Demoman for TF2. However, I need to alter the .mdl so it knows to look for a left eye texture, otherwise it just shows up as black. So I decompiled it, added the left eye vmt into the .qc file, and attempted to recompile it. Now I'm getting this error:

I have no idea what this means, as I never touched any of the eyeball_r stuff.

If your not altering the model itself can't you just hex it?
Also theres an SMD missing in that QC (unless its called UnknownModelName)

Well I tried simply hexing it, but it didn't work and caused model viewer and faceposer to crash.
And yes, that's the SMD's name.
