It's another one of those ugly mutants from Vault 87s test chambers. (How priceless isn't that face) Ported/rigging from Fallout 3 by me and textures and VMT by Deathbucket/Captainscarlet. Download Quoted from the Fallout Wikia:
These creatures are hideously mutated vault test subjects, all having (presumably) cancerous lump covering their bodies. Their upper body is much larger than of a normal human, but their legs have remained in somewhat normal size, and their heads still have some human-like characteristics. It also seems they have gained a fair amount of muscle on their upper body, much like super mutants. They wear torn Vault 87 jumpsuits like the other experiments. If you hacked some of the terminals you'll find out a vast majority of the deaths logged in the computers were caused by this experimentation. These failed experiments can be found in Vault 87 in the test labs. They are all dead and their holding cells have a small amount of radiation. According to Vault 87 laboratory computer, they are among many of the FEV test subjects deceased due to their brains being unable to support even the most simple actions of human body and behavior after being injected with FEV.
I only ported it from Fallout 3, I didn't model/skin it myself. It isn't perfectly rigged but it does it as long as you're not planning on breaking the poor things arms. It's got a bumpmap and a pretty high resolution texture as seen in the pictures above. Thanks to madmanmad,Silver Spirit and a big ass for helping me with my qc. Without them I would still be writing that damn thing :) I'm sorry for not including finger posing and a movable jaw but I haven't really gotten around making new bones yet. I used the skeleton that was already applied to the model from Fallout 3 for this one and it didn't have a whole lot of bones, probably because it isn't a npc or animated creature in the game, just a corpse. Anyways, enjoy, and expect more in the future
He looks so drunk on the clay render :v:
haha yea It's pretty hilarious that they actually look like this in the game too.
This dude almost fits into L4D :P Downloading
Damn you guys work fast. :P nice work!
Thanks, I don't know about the work fast thing though. I've been working on this model from 00.00 to 08.00 in the morning (I stayed up all night) :3: But it really isn't that hard to port models when they have their skeleton and everything ready. If I knew everything I've learnt the past 9 hours I could probably port one of these in less than an hour.
If I remember reading somewhere Bethesda said that if you get to irradiated you would die and transform into something like this, there was a drawn picture of this and is said "Player being transformed".
I was gonna be badass soldier but then i got high.... I was gonna get strong but then i got high.... Now im a fukin mutant and i know why! Because i got high Because i got high Because i got highhhhh Downloading this junkie face mutant...
for some reason it looks a lot better on source engine.
I love you [editline]12:49PM[/editline]
Thanks, I don't know about the work fast thing though. And i'd love you moar
Nice.
Nice job there. Did you say it uses the original bones? Does that mean it has the original rigging as well?
Yeah, things seem a bit stretched there. Not that great.
Funny you mention it because I'm actually fixing that right now. The problem is that there's no blending in the vertices at all. But I'm working on it currently so when It's fixed I'll start doing the clothed ghouls. I'm sorry about having to release updates to it but I didn't know about the blend and weight tool yesterday.
This dude almost fits into L4D :P
holy shit, someone MUST do it.
