The Horadric Cube is an object from Diablo 2, used to transmute objects into other objects. It is a simple model to make, since it's merely a cube the size of a soccer ball. All that would really actually require skill would be texturing it. Here is a picture to give a basic idea of what it would look like.

It's a very simple thing to model.
It would be easy to texture if you had a picture of one face that was power of two sized (or just a picture of one face really), normal maps would be the hard part.

Crazybump or a heightmap tga to bump would work fine.

Are they programs to make normal maps with?
Yes.
Also how large is it scale wise to the player? A prop would be a good comparison please and I'll try doing it.
