• Best way to extract and import sims 3 models for 3ds max
    2 replies, posted
i have the tools for extracting such as the CAS editor and what not, but it only exports simsgeom files and .VPXY file.. i hear milkshape is the tool to use, but im more inclined to use 3ds max. does anyone have any insight/experience on sims 3 mesh making and or exporting? it would be great to get some furnishings and clothing from the sims..
Well, I'm not familiar with those files, but if you're more keen on 3ds max, you can try importing the files into milkshape, then exporting as an .obj or .3ds. Whatever you work with. Hope that helps.
I've used TSR Workshop to export furniture objects to OBJ/FBX, but it doesn't seem to include any bones so you'll have to re-rig it if necessary.
