I'm new to reskinning models so I just need someone to point me in the right direction for recoloring the hair for the girl in the blue jacket. I tried looking inside the material file but I didn't find the head. If someone can let me know the name of the .vtf file I need to alter, I'd thank you.

source materials.gcf open it with GCFscape, then I believe its somewhere in materials/models/humans, as I don't know which facemap your after I can't be more precise than that.

No i don't, i just hate Gmod.org becose the admins made it retarded and it sucks now, you have to do a lot of things to be able to download now.
Also, the new "log in with steam account" makes you more exposed to hackers!

No, you didn't get me, by going to that site, steam gives all your information to it (pass, e-mail, ID), and Gmod.org isn't protected like Steam, so any better hacker could easely get into a random account (or specific) whenever he wants

Steam is a major gaming distribution company. They wouldn't ask the general gaming community to log in if they believed their system was prone to hacking.

Back on topic. To find it, open the source materials.gcf. The path is: "hl2/materials/models/humans/female/group01/" and the Facemap is: "joey_facemap.vtf".

Again thanks. Found it. I'll have to do some editing on it tonight or tmw. I want to make the hair blond or dirty blond. I'm still learning how to use gimp but i'm getting better at it.

Just asking but, if I wanted to insert the edited skin back into the gcf, I do that with gcfspace, right?

You don't put it back in, you just put it with the same path but in your garrysmod folder.

Yes. You don't need the .vmt though.

So instead of trying to recolor an existing models hair, I took a different aproach.
I changed models, swapped the head with kanisha_cylmap (the blondness that I wanted), and reskinned that model with the blue color I wanted. Looks like this:
