hey i was wondering if anyone knew of any qc commands or so for jiggle bones so that i could make it react to gravity by so the bone goes up if its upside down :p
i have seen a video of a model with hair that collides with the body and well a chicken hat from tf2 that moves place to place without going to its native position :o if anyone knows anything then by all means :D
You'll probably have to ragdoll it, and add some collisions joints.
I'm flaky on those too so i can't help much. Heres the dev wiki page: http://developer.valvesoftware.com/wiki/$collisionjoints
Yeah that's probably a stiff ragdoll joint, not a jigglebone.
The chicken hat one just has a high mass so it just stays leaned over. Just guessing

If you collisionjoint a bone that has a jigglebone, the jigglebone wont work ¬.¬

Ask Luigimario about it he's good at jigglebones ^^ (and I think he made the Chicken Hat)

i don't believe jiggle bone has gravity, that's why i suggested to make it into a ragdoll, which does have gravity. :<

Ah I see what you meant now ^^ But you can make jigglebones with gravity.
Edit: This thread says someone else posted on it, but there hasn't been one since I posted on it here @.@

Remembered about this pic I took when jigglebones were first enabled in GMod, i'm pretty sure the Witch's hair has the sort of jigglebones being asked about:

Roland you could try using the jigglebone decompiler on the witch and using the settings from it to test ^^
or, you know, try out the "floppy" example jigglebone from the wiki:
$jigglebone "BoneNameYouWantJiggleable" {
is_rigid {
tip_mass 100
length 20
angle_constraint 60
}
}

the witch i examined her in the hlmv and i saw that her hair did not have any collision mesh to it or anything it reacted to gravity and collided with her body fake factory used jiggle bones just like that :o
my use of jiggle bones go back to its native position i try addin collision meshes to bones that have jiggle bone applyed but what i saw was more dynamic and doesnt clip into the model :o
