• Help: Metro 2033 texture conversion.

Been trying to port Metro 2033 stuff for a while. Got the models correctly, however I cannot get the textures. Upon extracting them, I get two types of files. I get a .512 file and a .1024 file.... And I have absolutely no idea what to do with them. I need to get them into a workable format like TGA, and every resource I have found on google regarding how to convert the .1024 and .512 files has been either taken down, or the website has been suspended or something. Anyone with M2033 porting knowledge giving me some insight into this would be much appreciated, thanks guys.
I've ported the models also but, I figured out that there is no way to convert the textures. It's useless sorry.
The textures are totally possible. There is a program called magicDDS I believe that converts all of those files into dds. The 512, 1024, and 2048 files are simply named based on their size. Go here: xentax
Yeah, I'm thinking of contacting the guy who ported those M2033 ranger models to see what he did exactly. I've tried magicDDS and it won't cooperate with the files. They don't convert, just gives me a blank command prompt.
I was able to port a car awhile back, I usually organize all my porting tools in a folder, so I'll let you know when I get home.

It's been a while since I used the program, but as I remember, you type in magicdds -convert texture.2048 and then it converts the texture you selected to a dds. Just be sure to read the instructions. The program works just fine. If you have magicdds and the extracted 512, 1024, and 2048 files, you've got everything you need. Just read and be patient.

It flashes open for like a quarter of a second and disappears. All I have are two files, magicdds.exe and magicdds.c I've tried running magicdds, clicking and dragging files to convert onto it.. nothing works for me for some reason, and the lack of an instruction text file stinks.
