• Player Model Ingame Deformations

As you can see in the picture the arms, body, fingers, etc are stretched out of proportion and the left hand is really messed up. Anyone know what the cause of the deformation could be? Is it the default female animations messing things up or does the rig need fixing?
Animations in Source basically say "hey this bone needs to be at this location / rotation at this time." In other words, it doesn't matter what changes you make to your bones, they'll be at the same location no matter what. Adjusting the bones via normal methods will result in your bones snapping to the original locations regardless which results in distortions like that. Generally your choice is just to leave the skeleton in tact and to mess with the model's proportions and such so that it fits on to the skeleton properly. There is, however, an alternative.
I had similar problems wiht my model, make sure your mesh fits the skeleton rig in size, also (if using blender) apply the scale and rotation and position. Make sure the rig and the mesh share the same origin, and if needed, readjust the vertex groups to fit the body areas.
