Hello, just a quick one:
I've googled his many times, but have never been able to word this properly to get a conclusive answer (I suck at explaining things)
Now, this is in 3ds max, and imagine that i've applied some bitmaps to an object to make it resemble something at all like an iphone.
How would I unwrap and flatten that texture, so that I can turn it into a usable vmt and taste delicious success?
Thanks for any help, and I'm sorry if i've put this in the wrong section, or there's a megathread I may have missed.
use the uv unwrap modifyer
Sorry for the late reply, (It happens every time, get a reply when you go to sleep. :smith:)
Anywho, I've applied the UVW unwrap thingamajigger on it, now where could I go to get the actual texture?
And do I need to do that map thing where you need to move the various sections around and weld them together?
Thanks for the help! :buddy:
Sorry to bump this, but it'd be really great to get a conclusive answer
Does the next step require me to click the "edit" button in the UVW unwrap modifier, and move the pieces together?
Yes.
you should look at some uv mapping tutorials.
