• Preserve Vertex Volume (Blender SMD)

Blender's bone armature allows you to preserve volume on bones/animation, which results in good vertex twisting. But when exported as SMD it's like this option is turned off. I don't want to use procedural bones (And I hope to hell this isn't the only way). Is there an option or command I have to type into the QC to allow the "preserve volume" to work in Gmod compiling? Or is there another method? It's very irritating that there isn't a simple way for better vertex twisting.
Does anyone know any tips for rigging the wrist are of a GMOD model instead?
Really, procedural bones are your only option.
