The Future of Garry's Mod - Developers

Christ, is anyone else just really getting bored with this game? I haven't been able to find any good models, and the ones I do find either don't work properly, or get boring after a few days. We really need some new, good models. Maybe someone should port stuff from the Witcher, or Ghostbusters. Fable, that's on that has nice ports, or Bioshock, Plasmid hasn't updated that thread in two years! All I'm saying is that I'm getting a little disappointed, there aren't enough good models out there anymore.

Are you out of your mind? GMod has a shitload of models from almost every game out there. From Assassins Creed to X-Men, from Alice to Velvet Assassin. The quality of the models depends on the Guy who ported it but most of them are high quality. My GMod folder is filled with a total size of 55GB of models alone. And i don't even use fakefactorys textures (anymore). Go and make a cool Batman pic ... or Sonic or some Mortal Kombat / My Little Pony Crossover of some sort. The possibilities are (almost) endless.

I believe the longer the wait, the more greater the content, remember man everbody has a social life so they can't work on models, props etc 24/7. Patience is a virtue. Also going on about what models and content that YOU want isn't gonna make any of these guys jump at your requests.

Hey, bro - Garry's Mod isn't about models, it's about the creativity of players and how it can be used.

When I get bored of a game, I take a break, try something else and come back later, sometimes years later. You don't Have to play it. I have to say though, [B]Ghostbuster ragdolls would be really sweet.[/B]

If you want to make models, then learn, and go for it. But don't post threads like this if you are bored.

I'm going to learn how to port now.[/QUOTE] Then you're looking in the wrong places, Toybox has become a festering shitheap and barely anyone posts anything good there anymore so it's not a good idea to rely on it as a main source of models. There's tons of great releases every week on here, and none of them are ponies. If you're going to make a request thread, go into the request section and make a request OR learn to port stuff yourself so you don't have to rely on other people (like you said you're going to.). Don't make a badly disguised "PEOPLE SHOULD PORT THESE MODELS" thread and cause a bunch of drama. I got tired of having to rely on other people to port the models i'd like ported into gmod, so i learned, and it wasn't very difficult at all.

It takes time to port shit, it's not even a remotely fun process, and it's unpaid work. Only so ungrateful little shits like you can play with them for 3 days and get bored... Go do it yourself.

You didn't pay him to do it, you're not his boss. It's his will to do it. Not everyone has to do what you want. Just be patient, I mean the suit models we have now are a pretty good posing medium.
