Hello, I'm Brand new to facepunch but I've been lurking for a short while so please excuse me if I'm a bit "Newbish"
This is my FIRST ever release for Gmod. Ever. So i would greatly appreciate any criticism, Help, Recommendations and such so that the next time i decide to make something it can be better than this first attempt.
Edit: This was originally based off another skin that someone else made (heavenseven) But in my idiocy i forgot to add the credit in. Ive fixed this now

I made it using Vtf edit and photoshop. I know I'm not great but i hope to get better, So please be try to be merciful, Thanks.
I'm sorry , but that looks horrible. It looks like you shat blue all over it. But you are a beginner.
If you continue working on textures , it probably has the potential to be good.
Problems :
1. Blue is scrawled EVERYWHERE. There is a blue overload. It's bluer than that song by eiffel 65.
2. The text is terrible ; it looks weird for it to be constantly vertical.
3. Precision. There is almost none of it. If you want it to look really good , be precise , don't scour over it with the pencil tool.
Solutions:
1.What have you called it? A leaking physgun? Something that isn't so in-your-face blue , and also something to save time , would to have an actual leaking effect at the model's edges. It'd look p. cool
2. Orient the text , and add effects to it. The screen looks like blue paint with stuff printed on it. Not sure if photoshop has it , but try adding a scan-line TV effect to it , so it looks like it's on a monitor.
3.Use the line tool. Biezers are your friend. They will curve the line depending on the biezer's position and offset handles. Also , make use of the grid.
It's good for your first reskin , but you've still got alot to learn. Hope this somewhat helped.

Would you rather him think "this is quality material ,they said so" and for him to not properly learn the techniques of texturing , so he'll unknowingly release a bunch of crap skins.
There is a difference with being nice and saying "This is fantastic! Keep up the good work!"

This looks pretty cool. It's not my thing really, but it does look cool. Maybe add a bunch of different colors as well?

I'm going to ask you a question. Are you using photoshop? If so , look up some tutorials and get some custom brushes. I can't remember the link , but there are some really good brushes that you can use for leaking effects.

Yeah I'm using Photoshop. And if you can remember where those brushes are please don't hesitate to tell me, I could really use em.
I'm working on the improved one now, I must be retarded or something for not realizing there's a line tool. Heh.

It looks the same. Honest opinion. I think you misunderstood what I was saying , when I said edges I didn't mean the edges of the exsisting images. I meant the models.
