Why does that (Appears automatic) grenade launcher have a second grenade launcher on the bottom? It is not very reassuring if you need a backup attached.

Shhhhhh.........I'm working on my top picture........it's a surprise for my brother, he's obsessed with GMod. So it's not pointless.

OK, this is my idea: ask some modeler to make the models and skins for the modules (stocks, receivers, mags, ...) Separately , then give me or some other modelers the picture of the gun you want to make, and we might consider hacking the modules all together, and compile, and post on garrysmod.org or wherever you want it to be.

I'd love to have those pieces to develop concepts for models. Speaking of which, what modeling program are you using, HemroidMan?

I'm serious about th bodygroups thing. You could do a single reciever model, with tollegable sub-models. Subgroups would give you 2 or 3 differtent selections of pistol grips, hand guards, sights, mags, accessories, grenade launchers, etc each. It wouldn't be as robust as pimp my gun, but if done with a little intuitive spirit, you'd end up with a really dense model providing around 250 combos. Tou could further divesify by making mutliple overall skins, again tripling the combos, making around 750 guns per model. Maybe we should go about this like the Halo 3 Playermodels, where you get a menu, pick your pieces and colors, and then spawn it. Basically, it would be a mini version of pimp my gun inside a menu, which controls the gun you actually spawn. In fact, the Pimp My Gun menu layout is quite good. That would be a nice way of approaching this.

Hey guys I made the Halo 3 player models mod and I think this is a great idea. If you wana start making this mod count me in, I had been planning on doing something like this. Also it would be a lot easier if this was a world model only thing for third person heres why. Less detailed world models means I can model more stuff much more quickly. High detail models with lots of bodygroups take FOREVER to load and I am serious FOREVER. The world models dont require animating so it will be a LOT easier to make them. There can be a huge variety of weapons M14s MP9s Assault Rifles of all descriptions and it will be of small filesize. I would really be interested in creating this if I have enough support like I had in the Halo 3 mod. Oh and I almost forgot instead of bodygroups we could attach the models in the menu so its much more like PimpMyGun and saves file size having seperate models for the attachments.

It sounds hard.
