Hello Facepunch, I have yet to see ANY US Marines from the 1991 Gulf War period with 6 color desert camouflage, green jungle boots, and ALICE gear. If anyone is up to it, the model would need to have-
PASGT Helmet and flak jacket, both with 6 color desert covers,
6 Color Desert camouflage,
Green Jungle Boots, with the cammie trousers bloused OVER the boots, not tucked in like the Army,
ALICE gear, 4 magazine pouches, 2 canteens, and one buttpack,
If anybody is interested in making these models, please PM me and I can give you some information and pictures of Marines and their gear during Operation Desert Storm and Desert Shield. If anyone is up for a REAL challenge, you could also make a Marine in full NBC gear, (Nuclear, Biological, Chemical). Which would have NBC suits in woodland pattern, black overboots, black NBC gloves, and M17 gas mask, all the body armor and ALICE gear is worn over the chemical suits. If anyone is interested, please post here.
Thanks, Gunny
I support this!
There's already a million billion models like this.

where? because I've never seen one
I may give this a shot whenever I'm off next, there's already a very good late 80s early 90s soldier model, the world in conflict based ones, that would be the best model to use, it's not gonna be 100% perfect, but it would be pretty close.

Nope, there are none like this. Sorry about your eyesight.
I SUPPORT, I always support anything dedicated to making realistic soldiers, not just headhacked/ported soldiers which usually have messed up proportions. (COUGH CALL OF DUTY COUGH)
Yeah, I don't like those WIC models, they look a little off to me, but that's just my opinion. The 1990-1991 Gulf War has to be my favorite, both of my parents served as Marines during Operation Desert Shield/Desert Storm, my mom an MP and my father a Stinger gunner who was wounded when a mortar blew the back of his humvee up. The late
80's and early 90's have to have my favorite period of gear, camo, etc. Props to whoever can pull an accurate model of a Gulf War Marine. On the WIC styled soldiers, the camouflage looks more like Russian camo, the helmets are also a bit incorrect. The gear looks like late 90's molle, which was not around in 1989, which is the year WIC is based in. Marines also do not put any patches on their uniforms, besides name and branch tapes, but only on woodland uniforms. The Army was the only branch with name tapes in the Gulf War.

I just looked at the WIC models down and scrolled down a bit, the models ddok1994 are more accurate, but not entirely. The pouches are mid 1990's. In 1991 you would have these-

Those are ALICE M16 STANAG Ammunition Cases, they carry three thirty round magazines, the little things on the side hold frag grenades, but they were prone to falling out so Marines tended to carry them on their ALICE belt. He is also incorrect by giving the Marine (I'm assuming they're Marines due to the EGA on the back of the flak jacket) a cap instead of an 8 point utility cover. It also looks like the model has two belts, which is not correct, I'll have to check them out when I get my password back, it's a bitch forgetting your steam pass after having it on auto-login for so long haha.
