• FF X & FF X-2 ragdolls

ok so over the next few days im going to be ripping Final Fantasy X & X-2 models and get them ready for GMOD, i will be posting pictures every now and then of what i ripp, and once all models(humanoid wise) have been ripped im going to be releasing them in a pack here as models so as to help with the following question, now im going to ask this because everytime i try to use skeletal features on programs like 3DS MAX and Milkshape 3D, my laptop gets a DLL confliction error and goes to the Blue screen, so if anyone would be kind enough to add a skeleton to these models i would appretiate it ALOT. First model to be ripped is the FF X-2 version of Yuna, ill work on getting it to texture properly ASAP, the textures will probably be TGA or PNG files so will need converting into VTF and VMF files, ill post a pic of it in 3DS max, un skeletoned for you to see the model. If these are successfully ragdolled and tested, with spawnlists, they are to be sent back to me so i can then compile them into a pack and release them. And the next model to come is Tidus. I welcome replies, comments and thoughts on this.
GAH cant anybody help me out here, i mean i would rigg em myself, but the damn dll error is being a pain, so please someone help out, it takes quite alot to get these models and fix em in the first place, because it always inverts half the faces and makes em un-invertable, so i have to doubleside em, please if anyone can help out contact me ASAP. oh yeah, an Tidus is fully ripped and textured, now all i need to do is convert it to a useable format and upload. on another note, i dont have many FFX-2 models, so there is mostly yuna in different forms atm....

well if you guys know anyone who can help me ragdoll e that'd be great. BIG NEWS, located all model files from FFX and FFX-2, all dressphere forms and humanoid characters will be ripped and put up for rigging.
What about Pshycics and Festival Goers? AND SPECIALS!

OK before i can go ahead and post any pics of what i have ripped I REALLY need to know if there is someone who is willing to rig all these models for me, so please reply here weather you can or not ASAP.
BIG UPDATE!!!! ive managed to locate some missing files, ill be able to add the characters weapons to this list, and if i can find the kingdom hearts game models, ill add them to this too, thats right, theres gonna be alot of work going on here, but if all goes well, well have a pretty big pack for gmod, so if anyone wants to help, lemme know and ill get to work on ripping the FF models first, on all of these im only doing the main characters. NVM the kingdom hearts models ATM, as i cant find the files i had on disc, i will finde em, but ATM its still only the FFX models that are being ripped.
as of today its only going to be the FFX and FFX-2 models that will be ripped, i lost the KH models and cant restore them at all.
Well plonk them down here. We'll see what can be done with them and see if someone is willing to rig up a few.
I'll see what i can do on my free time. Have other requests going still :(
I still find it odd that Square enix doesn't put enough into making the bodys of their characters more high quality, and saving most of the mesh details on the face.
thx for all the support guys, they did put alot of detail in those models, its just that the smoothing groups arent working for me, i only have yuna from FFX-2 completely ripped(see first post for link) ATM but im working on tidus being as tha first rip didnt save properly and the file corrupted....

I remember a tutorial here that gave instrucions on how to rip from the GAme but I'll have to do a bit of searces to find it.
actually, i have a full detail one(like the FFX-2 models with a full face structure) im going to upload a link to a different model file which is a fixed version of yuna so if rigged through milkshape the textures show properly, but they will still need to be converted to VTF and VMF files i will be updating the mediafire file with the new file. I don't know how you get those meshes with flipped faces... when I export them either the .ffb > .obj way either .ffm > .dae way I get the meshes with all faces correctly... :|
mine didnt convert that way, i had to use a different way because my computer cannot conver to dae.......

[/url] And use Chargeur FFX to export reference/anims to .dae I recomend to extract the textures with ffx2obj though... Chargeur FFX has the bad habit to fuck up the textures... After you extract all you need use MAX8 in conjunction with the collada plugin included in the tools package to import .dae files...
thats what i have with max9, but its my actuall laptop that screws up the dae export, i use 3dviaprintscreen and an converter for 3ds max, its just as effective.
Don't use MAX9! ONLY MAX8 with colllada plugin... It's the only one that imports the .dae files right. MAX9 and above have integrated .dae importer that fucks up the meshes. I tried Importing .dae files with different versions of MAX and all of them fucks up the meshes... The ONLY good version witch can import .dae files is MAX8 with the Collada plugin. So it's not your laptop that fucks up the files... Also if you just want the reference meshes and no skeleton/anims you could simply use ffx2obj - the simplest way...

ok so i found my KH2 models, i dont know if ill get em ready for rigging yet, maybe soon though....
hmmm, isnt there already a ffx-2 yuna and ffx tidus released for gmod already? or are these models your working on HD versions? as far as Im concern ffx rikku, ffx-2 rikku, lulu, ffx-2 paine "not sure if it was ever public released but i saw a screenshot somehere, cant remember", ffx-2 yuna, ffx-2 lenne "alt version of yuna", ffx shiva and ffx tidus was already made. not sure who else you could work on, maybe ffx version of yuna or better yet ff12 and 13 models.
well all these are going to be the high quality models, used when speaking, and all from the FFX-2 game engine which has higher detailed models, i am working on ripping as many models as i can, but for the moment i need to know how things are going with riggin yuna, seeing as i still cant rigg em and now need an external HDD....

no i asked a mate to but i havent heard back yet, im incapeable of rigging because my pc hates me....
