You need Game Assassin to do that. You put the add on in the folder labeled add ons, then start the game with Game Assassin activated. When you see the model you want, you hit Alt + F5 powerbomb. That captures your model. Then pause the game, hit Ctrl + Alt + Delete, then choose the shutdown option. Once your computer shuts down, Game Assassin reboots it automatically and opens its 3D viewer with your model loaded up. Good luck!

you can just decompile the models though,.
SO do you want to rip models out of gmod addons or do you want to rip from other games into gmod addons?
I honestly didn't understand your question.
You open your spawnmenu..?
Ripping models from garry's mod is pretty pointless because you could easily just decompile them using Cannonfodder's .mdl decompiler, and then import the .smds using the .smd importer.
http://www.chaosincarnate.net/cannonfodder/cftools.htm
You get them with skeletons intact, rigging intact, and all readily t-posed.
If you're trying to port models from other games to garry's mod, then it depends on the game.
so lets say i downloaded something from garrys mod like a jet pack, after ive placed it in the addons folder in steam, i want to rip them out into a 3D format and use them for editing or whatever
thanks what i want

Don't rip them.
Ripping should only be used on games where there aren't any easily available methods of porting them properly, source and garry's mod is not one of those games.
There's tons of tools available and decompiling models for editing and such isn't hard. I linked a model decompiler and .smd importer in the post above yours.
ok so what are the steps to do like in my OP...and try and make it as easy as possible please
Don't rip them.

Assuming you're using 3ds max, here's how to do it.
1: download Cannonfodder's MDLdecompiler from the '3ds max tools' website i linked to above.
2: Download the .smd importer plugin for whatever version of max you're using.
3: Open MDLdecompiler, use the first box to navigate to the model you want to decompile and select it.
4: Set the output folder to whatever you want.
5: Press extract, then open max and open the .smds from the folder you set as the output folder. Usually you get several .smd files, so if you open nothing try them all.
Then you have the models in your 3d program, if it's a ragdoll then you have all the rigging intact and them readily t-posed.
whats the name of the 1st box to the model? and what format does the file have to be?
Assuming you're using 3ds max, here's how to do it.
