• Sketchup to 3DS file?
    3 replies, posted
I'm looking for a utility that will convert skp files to 3ds ones. I've already Googled it but it seems I can't find anything. Is there a handy utility that does this conversion? I really don't want to download blender or the free version of Sketchup.
First link on a google search ¬.¬ http://forums.devshed.com/game-development-141/converting-sketchup-models-to-3dst-519710.html (Though granted i knew where to look :P)
Get the L4D authoring tools, it has a sketchup to .smd plugin, and the .smd can be imported to .3ds. Then again, when modeling for source, you want to save in .smd.

It won't convert the dae or skp because of a compatibility issue between the formats.
