• Casual/civilian models

For as long as I know this site, the modders were only making models of soldiers of all kinds, timelines, countries, you name it. The civilian models, though, are so rare that you can't really see them unless it's a background character or cannon fodder that's sole purpose of existance is to be killed in a frame or two, or to be dead from the start (and even in playing corpses they tend to fail miserably). There are very few quality models of modern civilian attire, such as Suits and Robbers 2012 pack or MW3 Czech resistance (which has been headhacked and bodygrouped to look like civil winter clothes), and that's about it. So, can anyone (not currently occupied by another set of WIP soldiers) make a somewhat decent pack of civilian models? Bonus points for bodygroupped and colourable parts.
Saying "decent set of civilian models" is a generic as hell request when there's already a metric fuck tonne of civilian models out there.

Again, these guys are only suitable for background or as corpses to pile up. Are there really so few quality casual models? I am convinced that ripping a dozen of civvies is not an action no living modder can perform. Seeing how soldiers' models get a shitload of bodygroups and skingroups, sometimes over 10 bodygroups of only the armor/utility vest, it always bugged me why nobody has ever done a peaceful casual pack. Actually, if I wouldn't suck so hard in modelling, I'd do it myself, but because I do, I thought that someone who doesn't could actually make such a pack. Thanks for the links, though. I have 1/2 of these, though some of the models you've provided might actually be quite useful.

On games like GTA, non-plot essential NPCs have worse textures than the main character. And the models may not be as detailed or polished as the main characters, up close at least.
I remember seeing a pack where people headhacked the citizens head onto bodies of citizens from Gta IV. Unfortunately I don't remember what the pack is called, though I do think it was on garrysmod.org

All the guards, too. If I can remember other games with varied high quality civvies, I will post a list here.
The other problem is that some people don't want to make decent civilian models because then someone is going to make player models for someone's shitey DarkDM server.
The other problem is that some people don't want to make decent civilian models because then someone is going to make player models for someone's shitey DarkDM server.
If it's not the person who made/ported the models though, why bother? The only problems I can see there are comment section being flooded with "MAKE THEM DRIVEABLE" and "ARE THESE SWEPS", and some +thousands of downloads.
Here's my list of games with good-quality civvies: -Max Payne 3 has quite a few high-quality civvie models, which goes for both storyline characters and generic background NPCs. -Ditto for GTA V, though in this case there is a somewhat noticeable difference between story characters and background characters in terms of quality. -Both 'Black Ops' games have fairly good quality civvie models; Black Ops II in particular has more modern-looking civvies. -Until Dawn might be an option provided that it can actually be ported from. -Any Dead Rising game, especially the second and third ones. You may also be interested in civilian-looking models that are already available: -The Left 4 Dead and Left 4 Dead 2 survivors, for all they're worth. -Max Payne 3 has already had Max Payne himself and Raul Passos ported over. Fabiana's also available, but obviously her model is a bit more 'dressy'. -Tracksuit-wearing fellas -These Vindictus ports come with various bonemergable clothing items, including civvie-style stuff. -Quite a few Resident Evil models available on the workshop also double as civvies, examples being Sherry Birkin, Claire Redfield, Moira, and Excella (again, somewhat 'dressy'). Having had a think about it, the 2013 Tomb Raider had some pretty good civilian-style models as well, and I'm guessing that the next-gen 'Definitive Edition' has even better ones.
Advanced Warfare has some decent civie models as well.
I fee obliged to point out that despite the amount of civilian models that have been ported to Gmod, there is a significant lack of quality children and elderly models. I don't think I've ever seen an old woman in gmod. I've only seen 1 or two good kid models. The Half Life 2 Beta kids don't count either.

Anyways, there's a pretty decent port of Max Caulfield on the L4D2 section of gamemaps.com (i.e. she has faceposing as opposed to the existing Gmod port). Does anyone want a hexed version of her to add to the range of civvie models?
Found these fellas recently. Pretty much casual style with good quality. Wish there was better face posing, though. https://facepunch.com/showthread.php?t=1432194

It's kinda dishearthening when stuff you've worked on shows up once in a metric year. While yes, a lot of people can see the need for casual models, it doesnt really translate that much into actual usage.
