How to make the hair move natural while moving? I mean like real hair and not just a solid piece of bone. If you downloaded the Ahri and DJSona models from the steam workshop, that effect in the hair is what Im looking for, it defies the laws of gravity haha but move like real hair.
Thank you.
SOLVED IT: Check "CaptainBigButt"'s answer and do it :D.
Thank you "CaptainBigButt".
Are you referring to hair that just jiggles around when the character moves? If so the hair is jiggleboned.
I uploaded my Source files for this model here.
You can crack open the jigglebones qci and reference the values from the hair file. Do keep in mind that jigglebones are actually oriented with a 90 degree rotation so you'll want to rotate the bones 90 degrees to ensure the hierarchy chain is formed correctly. If you're using 3ds max, viewing pivot display will show a blue, green, and red axis. The blue axis should point toward children bones along the chain. To ensure consistency I usually ensure the green axis points toward the center of the model as well.
Since the model I sent is a stylized model, the hair movement is also quite stylized in how it moves, but if you want realistic instead you can simply tweak the values.
Thank you for your complete answer, I downloaded the file, but it looks too advanced for my actual knowledge X_X.
I don't know what a qci file is, just followed this tutorial to make my model: https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=FkY60trlyYI
I just use 1 .smd and 1 .qc file to make.
Is there an easier way to make it? I mean with the hair in my only model of the whole character, and my .qc file to compile it. (Without using a different file for the hair)
Thank you.
I believe QCI files are the same as QC files, but separated, in order to, for example, use one QCI file containing QC code in many other QC files.
if you have not checked the Valve Developer Community page concerning the jigglebone keyvalue, I would recommend doing so.
Thank you, I will.
I made it, thank you "CaptainBigButt", you rock!
