• Stargate AG-3 Satellite

I'm currently finishing off the code for the AG-3 satellite from Stargate SG-1 (S04E17 - Absolute Power), seen below. However, I'm curently using a Combine Scanner for the model. Is there anyone who could create a model accurate to the show that could be used instead? Thanks to any volunteers! Thanks, any idea how long that'll be? The AG-3 code is practically finished now, bar a decent effect for the beam.

umm you probly know but just in case.... it dosent shoot (if you know how to fix plz tell) i realy want to try it out
ive tested the ag-3 out and it just spawns the satalite and does nothing they dont link and if you put a zpm to it it just falls i think the code need redoing
Worked fine for me, targeted npc's hit them first time. and then for some reason it shot the target finder lol. Probably because im a little useless with wire, as for the group, i never got round to trying it =]
ok so you spawn then right, what do you do next? sorry for being a minge lol.. also how do you hook up several others to work together? like in the show or is that automatic when they are closer? ahh im just so confused lol
The AG-3s aren't finished yet; that's why they don't work properly. I've got most of the issues fixed, but need an improved model from TheSniper9 before I update the SVN. Any idea how long those changes will take TheSniper9? As for making them work together, once I've released the updated AG-3s, you'll just need to place them near each other and so long as they have the same target, they'll group together to attack.
Works for me, but it takes to long to charge and fire the weapon. maybe you want it to shoot that slow, but i would like it faster. how can i make it shoot faster?

Mostly done, but I'm waiting on an update to the model from TheSniper9. It's intentional that it takes a long time to charge when you set the power high, as otherwise it'd be much too powerful. Turning the power down will make it fire considerably faster. Also, bear in mind that the AG-3s are anti-Ha'tak weapons - they're designed to target large, slow-moving targets, not people or other small/fast objects. They will take much longer to target small or fast objects, so it's not advisable.
Hi i have revison 25 of stargate addons and i'm misssing 2 custom models, the gate overloader model the one with the green crystals and the AG-3 model from Sniper. I exported the whole folder to the addons folder. I also took a look in the folder after exporting it, and the models and material folders seem to have all the files...
is this done yet the new one that is?
I'm still waiting for the revised model from TheSniper9; starting to think he might have forgotten about it now though.

I've updated the SVN today and I got the AG-3 pyramid models, but they do nothing. Is it done yet?

Good question, I've not heard from TheSniper9 yet. It sounded like he was very busy from the message he sent me, so could be a while longer til the model gets fixed.
I've received TheSniper9's improvements and added them to the SVN. I intend to get my code changes finished some time towards the end of next week.
Is it facing the right direction now? or did I turn it the wrong way.
is this releaced to the public yet? lol
I've not tested it as I don't have the time right now. It's in the SVN though so anyone who updates and gives it a try should be able to tell you.

Does this work like the satellites did in the episode? Downloaded and all,put it in Gmod set up 5 of them,didnt fire...so i re read every post n saw "grouped" so i put them together and they fired once...n i had the charge set on like 100,um,are they supposed to like slowly fall when they r unfrozen or r they supposed to "hover" and track the target till it is destroyed?
they dont do anything should of made them automatic
Mine do,well least they did once,lol spawn a satellite i used 5 just to see if they all worked and all,hooked up ZPMs to each of em (each) then wired a target finder and beacon sensor,wire beacon sensor to target finder then target finder out to target finder,then took the XYZ from the sat and set it to World X World Y World Z of the target finder,then a numpad input toggle to ARM on the satellite.
