ok for this 2 work you have to be specific, most of the creatures will be props due to bone structures and animations being unrippable.
so an example of being specific, is telling me what you want (creature,prop ect...), what game its found in, and where i can find them, for example one request could be:
"i would like a metroid, found in metroid prime 2 echoes, these can be found in the space pirate base in the agon wastes"
so please try to lay out you request like the one above to save me ALOT of time on ripping.

I would like the arm cannon for prime 1 / 2 to be rigged as a view model.
Once that is done then finally someone can make a SWEP
look thats one thing i cant do, due to the hud being shown in a dx buffer that isnt as rippable, but if i get it ill work on it.
The HUD was ripped before, so it's possible indeed.
Only a few elements such as the small holographic map cannot be used (this even applies for the big version in the map screen) because they are just 2D projections of the actual 3D model.
The real difficulty is ripping the enviroment since a lot of it is culled depending on the players view.
Since a lot of the suits, enemies, characters and creatures have been ripped before, i suggest you to start off with some enviroment stuff.
You could try to get crates, statues and other cool stuff and maybe create a Metroid enviroment prop pack from these.
I'm sure there are mappers who would like to create metroid themed maps but ain't got the right props.
yeah, i may just do that, the only snap there is not all the textures being ripped and the emulator freezing an dying due to low ram, i only have 2GB on a 4 core machine....btw WNxKraid, could you please have a go at rigging the dark suit, thats where i have the big issues, i cannot rigg humanoids because i can never get the bones to assign properly, if you need any resources for it lemme know, cuz i had an idea for a samus npc but i need to work on making default animations so the game can npc her.....
Once a model is rigged using the valve biped, you are able to assign any animation mdl of the original character.
This is what i did for the vortigaunt (ofc. in this case i used the original vortigaunt skeleton)

That model is too big to be a player model. Besides we have enough NPCs and Player Models.

If I remember correctly someone was porting models from MPH. However there are two of the hunters that were either ported or made from scratch as models, they were Sylux and Weavel. Here are the links:

yeah, trying to ripp from a 3d ds game is like asking someone to pull theyre own arm off, it cant be done properly.
The weavel and stylux models are ripped from Smash bros meele or brawl.
There's even a real model viewer (and exporter) for it which also works with Other M.
It'll export psk files which can be imported directly into UDK, Milkshape or any other programm which is able to open this format.
The scale is very tiny and it might be a good idea to rig the character to the default biped anyway, just in case it will be turned into a NPC or playermodel, but they are T-Posed, have clean topology and are not stretched and splitted into draw calls like the DX rips.
