• [Resource] The Expendables 2 models.

Someone made mention of a model from The Expendables 2 video game in another thread earlier, but it was a model for XNALara. I decided to take the time to convert the model into a format that anyone else can work with, so here's a useful resource file for you folks. There's currently only the one model, but I'm more than willing to convert the others if anyone happens to come across them. Or, if you'd like to convert it on your own and post it here, I'll provide your link [B]Current models[/B] [I][U]Stalone[/U][/I] [I][U]Yin Yang[/U][/I] [I][U]Gunnar[/U][/I] [I][U]Hale[/U][/I] (Images will be provided soon!) [B]Current downloads[/B] [URL="http://www.mediafire.com/?ekoqdufbtscegho"][I][U]Click for Stalone[/U][/I][/URL] [URL="http://www.mediafire.com/?gccz9e2rsevfu03"][I][U]Click for Yin Yang[/U][/I][/URL] [URL="http://www.mediafire.com/?111srwem90510rl"][I][U]Click for Gunnar[/U][/I][/URL] [URL="http://www.mediafire.com/?qhdhc3h7zbo3de0"][I][U]Click for Hale[/U][/I][/URL] [B]Credits[/B] Ubisoft - The Expendables 2 video game and its associated model and texture files Tosyk (Xentax forum user) - Extracting the models/setting them up in usable formats. artworkplay - Providing a link to a more cleaned up version of the Stalone model, as well as the other models. [B]Q&A[/B] [I][U]What formats are provided?[/U][/I] The current model formats are .FBX, .MAX, and .OBJ. The current texture formats are .DDS and .PNG. [U][I]Will you be porting these into GMod yourself?[/I][/U] No. If it weren't for the fact that I'm still not 100% familiar with the layout of 3DS Max 2012, as well as the fact that I suck at rigging models for use as ragdolls, I would've waited to actually release the models as such for GMod. This will have to do for now. [I][U]I think you're missing someone/something in the downloads...why's that?[/U][/I] I work with what I've got. What you see for the available downloads is what you get for now. If you want to provide a link for something else to be included (whether it be for conversion or already converted), feel free to post and I'll get it added to the OP. [I][U]Can I request other stuff not related to this thread in any way whatsoever (such as CoD, Battlefield, Hello Kitty Island Adventure, etc.)?[/U][/I] No. If you want to request something, either make sure it pertains to what this thread is about (model resources from The Expendables 2 video game) or make a new thread. [I][U]You should totally port this! Why aren't you porting this!? (AKA, annoying jackasses that don't know how to read the OP)[/U][/I] Look 3 questions up from this one, you have your answer. [I][U]Why doesn't this work in GMod?[/U][/I] I think the [B][Resources][/B] tag in the title is pretty self-explanatory.
I have'nt played this game yet so I don't know what models are in the game from the film. But if possible I would like to request Sly's Skull Pen, the different knifes for the characters, and the Santa plane.
Well someone PM'd you these anyways, so that's good. Models and textures are fairly decent, and the head mesh looks pretty much identical to their actors.
Wow, whoever modeled that is very talented, looks exactly like Stalone.
More than likely, the studio did a laser scan of his face, then a poly reduction to make it a game model. I could be wrong though and it could have just been a very talented 3D artist.
[QUOTE=bloocobalt;38288265]I found all 4 of the character models somewhere, I can't recall where. [URL]https://dl.dropbox.com/u/9274354/The_Expendables_Source.7z[/URL] Textures in dds, png, models in FBX, max scene and obj.[/QUOTE] Someone sent me a PM with a download for each one with all of the formats you mentioned. I've updated the OP to provide links to those instead.
