Hey Folks!
I'm new here and since there aren't many sites to ask for modelling help i've decided to ask here.
Is there any way to reduce the ammount of textures used in a model without redoing the entire model?
Because my model got exactly 205 textures and when i try to compile i get the error: Too many materials used, max 32
Any help is appreciated
205 textures? wtfreaking sort of model is that? if it's materials not textures you gotta merge them into materials that use the same textures. if perhaps those are 205 textures that are assembled into complex materials with bumpmaps and all the glitter you should get that count down too. for the general texture merging stuff. bake a texture atlas. let me just repost that lil pic from yesterday. there're some things to look for but that's how...

Thanks for the quick answer! Suprisingly out of all those 205 Textures none of them includes any bump-maps, Ambient Occlusion et-cetera or it would be over 400 Textures
The model is actually the interior from the GTA Episodes From Liberty City Bahama Mamas Club

Edit: Please dont mind theres nothing behind the walls since it's supposed to be the interior only
well then... i'd say technique 2 applies. rip that model (scene) apart. make it a prop pack. whether 'section' it to place aka make it look exactly like that or bake single props and place them where you need them. you could still merge/atlas some of the textures where needed. that should be all. :)

I'll try that, thank you
