yes; missing small details to upload ..
I hate to be a bug, but is there any chance of getting the real normals/spec maps? From what I remember,the textures in this game are world class and a lot of that is because of the submaps. I'd hate to see all these ports come through and they're lacking those components, because community recreation is never going to look as good.

The extraction of textures in MGS4 is a manual process, very tedious (hexadecimal extraction in my case).
The textures are embedded in segmented files (segs) in portions of 128 kb + -.
To succeed in the extraction and avoid loss of textures between one segment and another, you have to merge them back once unzipped.
It is for this reason that I am concentrated on extracting the basic textures ... for the moment.
I've read that it's a pain in the ass, so I can understand. Just let us know when you do get a chance to extract them. I can't speak for everybody, but I'd rather have less models with all the textures then more models with just the barebones minimums.

Pretty sure they're for nothing yet.
They´re .obj files, so it´s just the polymesh without any bones or joints.
They still need to be ported to source.

Yeah. Getting less models with fully working materials is better than many, which have to be released multiple times as the textures show up.

Psycho Mantis isn't in MGS4. His mask is in MGO, but i don't know if he's ripping stuff from that.
I asked in the other thread but i have no idea if you saw, Do you think you could get the XM8 variants and possibly some of the other weapons?
A "ghost" of Psycho Mantis appears a few times, but I'm dubious as to it actually being a model (and if it is, as it's never seen up close, it's textures will be nothing amazing)

There is a Psycho Mantis actually. In act 5 when you defeat Screaming Mantis there will be an additional cutscene where Psycho Mantis appears half-transparent. That scene always appeared for me, but some says that it only appears if you have vibration on.

You people need to do your reasearch.
Psycho Mantis is in act 1, when you first see Screaming Mantis, but only in first person view, and act 5 when you beat Screaming Mantis, regardless of vibration, he has a model, and i can tell simply from the cutscene that he has equal quality textures to the rest of the cast.
And no, none of the cutscenes are pre-rended, especially that one, since it shows your custom camo or outfit, the cutscenes arent pre-rendered for reasons, and thats one.
I've never fully played MGS4, so i was just going off of what i saw on the wiki. Seems i missed that, and whoever wrote the wiki didn't get any pictures of it.
