I forgot to add it to the title when I was making the thread but; These aren't gmod/sfm ports, they're decompiled models (.smds, qci's etc.) with the vtf/vmts. So I recently downloaded CSO2 to extract some of the models from it to port to gmod/sfm, I ended up extracting a lot of stuff so I thought why not release it. The mesh is in .smd format and the textures are vtf/vmt and the finger bones would need to be renamed. The QC's will probably need a bit of editing to compile properly, and I don't know how to open the phymodel files, but everything else should open and work fine. I included a number of the cosmetic items (mostly for the male characters) in the attachment folders so check that stuff out too. Oh yeah keep in mind a couple of the models have "actor" versions that I believe have more faceflexes, the models are ct_gign, ct_sas, ct_lisa and tr_mila. Some official pics of some (not all) models I extracted: [t]http://vignette4.wikia.nocookie.net/cso/images/0/02/Jean_bigcity.jpg/revision/latest?cb=20130806235345[/t][t]http://vignette3.wikia.nocookie.net/cso/images/0/0a/Lisa_bigcity.jpg/revision/latest?cb=20130806234215[/t][t]http://vignette4.wikia.nocookie.net/cso/images/f/f4/Leet_bigcity.jpg/revision/latest?cb=20130806233331[/t] [t]http://vignette4.wikia.nocookie.net/cso/images/e/ec/Ryan_bigcity.jpg/revision/latest?cb=20130806234740[/t][t]http://vignette3.wikia.nocookie.net/cso/images/8/81/Ainberg_bigcity.jpg/revision/latest?cb=20130806232846[/t][t]http://vignette1.wikia.nocookie.net/cso/images/8/84/Kimdaeho_poster_korea.png/revision/latest?cb=20141210070903[/t] Male Pack; Female Pack; [editline]01-November-2015[/editline] Player shared textures; [editline]03-November-2015[/editline] Bigcity NPC's;
Dude....thank you....
Elite dude looks cooler in this than he does in CSGO.
Yeah and they actually made an Artic Avenger.
Nice release of resources, I can see some people getting a lot of use out of some of these.
Thanks. It was certainly "interesting" trying to find the right tools.
Awesome! You just made my day! I was looking for those for quite some time. Thanks! Edit: Just a quick question... Are those all the characters?
Wow, these look very cool indeed. If they made their way to SFM, I'd snap these up.
Awesome! You just made my day! I was looking for those for quite some time. Thanks! Edit: Just a quick question... Are those all the characters?
Yeah it's not every model, a lot of them though. I'll see about extracting more shit sometime, like the zombies and random npc dudes in that shit big city mode. Also I used these tools; http://www.mediafire.com/download/a4e700d7o5cexut/CSO2_UnPack.exe http://www.mediafire.com/download/80nqcqdr1x9ea6t/CSO2_VTF.exe You chuck unpack.exe into the bin folder and then you click on it and it does everything itself. Then to convert the vtf's you just drag and drop them onto the vtf.exe and it makes them openable in vtfedit.
Awesome stuff! I wanted to do some CSO2 things, but the only models out there were ports to GMod or L4D2's skeletons, and I couldn't figure out a way to get at the juicy assets myself without jumping through all the hoops to register an account. Anything else you can post - zombies, hats, that fucking cartoon pig etc. would be very much appreciated!
This is amazing. Do you think these tools can extract the maps too?
Looks like some stuff relating to eyes - eyeball commands, some eye vtfs... - are missing.
Decompiling the models doesn't work perfectly, also is it shared eye textures?

Uploaded the players shared texture folder.
Uploaded the Bigcity npc's [editline]123[/editline] R.I.P. merge
I wonder what version of the game have you installed to unpack those? Since I used this one: http://csol2.tiancity.com/homepage/v3/download/ And the tools didn't unpaced all, they just crushed with the fallowing error message:
Did you put it in the "Counter Strike Online 2/Bin" folder? I used the korean version but I heard the chinese version works with the tools too, I guess it doesn't.
Can you point me to a link to download the Korean version of the game? Edit: Yes I put it in the bin folder. Edit 2: Okay.. I actually managed to make my self a Nexon account... And I'm downloading the client right now.. xD
i cant download them -.- they download about 2 mb each and then they broke the connection
Can you point me to a link to download the Korean version of the game? Edit: Yes I put it in the bin folder.
It's difficult unless you know a Korean or pay for a Korean account because in Korea for some wack reason when you register stuff you need to verify it on a Korean phone number. [editline]2nd November 2015[/editline] Unless you can figure out another way to obtain a Korean Nexon Account.
For those interested in downloading the client here are the links: http://cso2.dn.nexoncdn.co.kr/cso2_kr_llanc72324892gg2j/LocalInstaller/CSO2Installer.exe http://cso2.dn.nexoncdn.co.kr/cso2_kr_llanc72324892gg2j/LocalInstaller/CSO2Installer.z01 http://cso2.dn.nexoncdn.co.kr/cso2_kr_llanc72324892gg2j/LocalInstaller/CSO2Installer.z02 http://cso2.dn.nexoncdn.co.kr/cso2_kr_llanc72324892gg2j/LocalInstaller/CSO2Installer.z03 http://cso2.dn.nexoncdn.co.kr/cso2_kr_llanc72324892gg2j/LocalInstaller/CSO2Installer.z04 Have in mind that those will be active until the next update... :) And yeah the verification process is a real pain in the ass.. but still :) Edit: In like 4 hours I'll be able to install the game and try the tools you posted. BTW: Judging by the size of the installer (around 5 GB), The Korean version should have a lot of more content than the Chinese version... (The Chinese version installed is around 3,5 GB)
I remember hearing about how you need to launch the client or something to install the game hence needing an account but I'm not really sure so.
Does this include limited edition models?
I remember hearing about how you need to launch the client or something to install the game hence needing an account but I'm not really sure so.
I remember Cra0 saying something like this. Something about it fetching the asset decryption keys on connection?
Does this include limited edition models?
You mean the alternate designs? I noticed a couple of them in there.
I have a question... It may sound stupid... but how do you open those smd files? I mean I can't open them with 3d max, i can't open them in milk shape 3d and noesis does not open them too. Edit: My bad I opened them ;)
-snip he opened them-
I'm wondering, can you release the zombie models, and the equipable accessories?
Hey guys do you know where can i get this character?
