A thread for all my WoT releases of Hungarian tanks. 43M Toldi III: http://steamcommunity.com/sharedfiles/filedetails/?id=695369001 Turan III: http://steamcommunity.com/sharedfiles/filedetails/?id=698085412 WoT models: 43M Toldi III [t]http://i67.tinypic.com/2hn2eqv.jpg[/t] A ragdoll of the HD Toldi III as it appears in World of Tanks. Tools, and both tracks are bodygrouped and can be removed. The final upgrade to the Toldi tanks of the Hungarian military. To better combat Soviet vehicles the upgunned Toldi IIA was upgraded with stronger armor. However the Hungarian industry was so thoroughly ravaged at that point that very few vehicles were completed. Name: 43M Toldi III Armament: 1 40mm 42M L/45 tank gun, 1 8mm 38M Gebauer machine gun Class: Light Tank Role: General-Purpose, anti-infantry anti-tank Weight: ~9 tons Engine: Ganz VIII VGT 107 Crew: 3 Suspension: Torsion Bar Time of production: Produced in 1943 Volume of production: Total of 12 units produced Please report any bugs you find. The textures look a bit dull, there is a waz of changing that. Okay, so WOT includes several textures: diffuse, normal maps and "GMM", and AO. So what you want to do is open up the GMM texture. It has several channels, one of them is the specular map, the other one is a detail map. I don't remember if there's an AO map in there, it might be. So, what you want to do (in Photoshop) is open the diffuse texture, paste the detail texture onto it and set it to overlay or soft light, whichever looks better. And then paste the AO map, set it to multiply and set the opacity to like 50% so the shadows aren't completely dark. After that, you might want to find the small detail texture, which includes several textures on its channels. Paste them onto the diffuse, duplicate it over the texture and set to overlay and lower the opacity so it doesn't look too grungy. And here you go, it looks all better now. Also, you should've jsut made a single thread with all the tanks divided into categories. And no techinical specification, because who cares / they take up too much space, and they don't even matter in gmod. But that's your thread, and just my opinion.
Thanks for the tips, but I do not have photoshop. I actually had asked you about the metallic gloss maps before, but I did not think they could be used. If you could tell me how to make this work with paintnet+gimp, that would be awesome. I made the threads per nation for 2 reasons: First, for organization, and second because some nations have a LOT of tanks. I care about technical specs, they are staying and that is final. All my descriptions follow the same template anyway, and any relevant info will be at the top. [editline]1st June 2016[/editline] So is the first channel the specular map or is the first channel the detail map? [editline]1st June 2016[/editline] Okay I think I figured it out, I copy pasted the green channel from the gmm into a 50% overlay, then copied the red channel from the ao into a 50% multiply. If you send me a one set of textures, I'll steamview it for you. Add me on steam. I'll be available in the morning.
Turan III time: [t]http://i64.tinypic.com/2eyfbeo.jpg[/t] A ragdoll of the HD Turan III as it appears in World of Tanks. The various hatches on the tank are rigged and can be moved with a bone tool. Tools, and both tracks, front track links and back tools are bodygrouped and can be removed. The Turan III was conceived as an upgrade to the Turan II, whose capabilities were insufficient to face new soviet armor. After Germany refused to sell Hungary any Pzkfw. IV H or Panther Ds, the Hungarian military decided to create their own vehicle, using an adaptation of the German 7,5cm PaK 40. This is the prototype that resulted of said project, lacking the extra armor pieces of the finished version. Name: Turan III (Prototype) Armament: 1 75mm 43M L/55 tank gun, 2 8mm 40M Gebauer machine gun Class: Medium Tank Role: General-Purpose, anti-infantry anti-tank Weight: ~12 tons Engine: WM V-8H Crew: 5 Suspension: Leaf Spring Time of production: Produced in 1943 Volume of production: Total of 1 prototype produced Please report any bugs you find.
