I was wondering if anybody's tried to get the weapons, characters or other models from Homefront: The Revolution yet. Sure, the game is kind of crap but I think the models could make for some cool posters in Garry's Mod or Source Filmmaker. I know it runs on the CryEngine, and if I recall people have ported stuff from that before. For now there are no tools for extract models and textures because the PAK files are encrypted. The only valid methods are extract models with a ripper tool or from RAM dump. (and sincerely the game isn't good that's why the people is no researching the game files because they just haven't bought it. I want to extract some KPA soldiers but I will not buy the game)
I own the game, if anyone wants to try decrypting it or something, I can send over the .pak's.
if someone have intel gpa installed please, try to capture the KPA soldier from the first post, upload the frame file generated by the software and post the link here for try to extract the model. (the capture should be made near the character model in game with textures and mesh options in ultra)
The problem is, my computer is trash, and the settings in game are presets, you can't just change it so the meshes are good and everything else is bad. But I installed intel gpa, so give me a little bit to reinstall the game and I'll get some stuff over.
@Puls3wave did you find the way to extract the model out yet?
