Welp, game's out. Normally I'd just use GCFscape and nab it myself, but ever since Valve moved to VPK/NCF, it's made it a pain in the ass to get models from games that you own. Any chance someone can do that?

There's no difference. All you do is open the VPK files in steamapps\common\portal 2\portal 2\
And just extract models/materials.
It'll be broken, yes, but it's no harder to extract than before.
Wait that means Gmod won't have Portal 2 sources?

No it means that they are currently unsupported as they are. The support might be added at a future date, same goes for Alien swarm and perhaps that ww2 dinosaur game.
