• How do i bone merge a custom tf2 hat model with the head bone in Maya 2012?

I am brand new to modelling, so please answer simply. I made a custom hat model for the Scout for a GMOD parody vid i'm making, and according to tutorials I've found, to get the hat working with the Scout model, i must merge the hat's model with the Scout's bip_head bone. I cannot figure out how to do that in Maya, most specifically the 2012 edition. I don't see an option that shows the bones nor an option to delete the Scout model and show the bones itself. Can someone help me figure out how to do this?
