• First attempt at porting

Hi everyone, sorry for bothering, but I need help on porting a Wii model. This is my first attempt at porting so forgive any nooby questions or mistakes. Basically what I want to try to port is the Party Phil character from Wii Party. Since he's a basic model, I've chosen him for this. After some research into BRRES formats and such I've been able to get hold of his model in Milkshape 3D. I've scaled his model to around the size of a TF2 Spy. I've exported the 2 SMDs (Sequence and Reference), and made a QC file following "Mario's Kart to Gmod Ragdolls". The problem: Compiling this leaves behind extremely tiny model files that will crash any game or tool trying to open it. I also am confused about textures, and because that guide is for Autodesk Max 3DS, I'm stuck. I tried installing 3DS several times, but thanks to Microsoft's Wonderful C++ 2005 Redistributable (already gave me a headache installing GTA IV), it won't even attempt to install.
