Avatar - Na'vi Player-models, and extra models [SWEPS if possible!]

Don't fuck this thread up please!
I know Avatar and it's associated alien race aren't too flash on Facepunch, but PLEASE consider this.
If you are interested and are willing to make/port these then please PM me. I'll help where i can!
What i'm looking for is some good-quality Na'vi player-models that also double as ragdolls. Full scaled size [AKA twice normal player size...].
To make the player dimensions change when the new models are chosen in the menu [and player has respawned] will be a trick that only a skilled modeller/coder could achieve, if one could do it then they will become god.
^This will probably require a whole new player-class of sorts.
Another request is the Na'vi's bows and arrows. I can see this SWEP being somewhat like the crossbow, except you need to hold down fire to nock an arrow, and release fire to shoot it. In place of a crossbow-bolt, a arrow will be used.
Also include the daggers that they use, basically replace the knife model.
All these weapons will be their respecful scaled-size.
These SWEPs should only be available to Na'vi players [human players are too small to use them].
Only attempt to turn the bow/arrow and dagger into a SWEP if you can successfully make a full-scale playermodel.
If it's impossible to make the player-model change size then just make Na'vi ragdolls, and bow, arrow, and dagger models to full scale size.
If you read this far without clicking a rating, or reply & spamming a wall of shite then you earn my respect.
If anyone out there can ACTUALLY make these models without doing it half-assedly, or giving me/everyone else shit, then you are a respectable person.
Oh and don't say it's impossible, i saw some Na'vi hand-models for when the player is holding a weapon. If they can do that, then ragdolls are a possibility.
Finally, don't shit all over this thread, be serious or GTFO. This is bound to be asked by someone sooner-or-later...
I don't know about the player models, but I can possibly do some weapons Na'vi style.
Woah! Your thread actually deserves notice. You should post some reference images though, I know Avatar is so damn popular and everybody knows what a Na'vi is but still, it wouldn't hurt just to have a few pics.
Good to see thread stabilisation :)
Just google some pics, there will be some around on google (just ignore images fucked up by 4chan...).
finally, someone who requests avatar shit with a real intent purpose!

Roleplay server. There you go, happy?
ahh this could be done with a 360 ripper yes??
You know what's funny? I just watched Avatar and started playing the game just a couple of days ago.

I'm guessing so.
If my memory don't let me off, there is some Sonic player model who are half the size of a man, so, maybe you could use it as base for the player model size.

For the record, people find Avatar request threads irritating not because of what's being requested but because there's been a new request thread for Avatar models every week for the last 2-3 months.
That said, best of luck.

Could someone find it?
There was some who change the player hull size, but i don't found them.
I just found that : http://www.facepunch.com/showthread.php?t=606934

Well, that was quite useful, but the animations glitched for them...
Anyone here a good modeller + animator?
Btw updating OP with some additional info.
What about for the Humans ? Playing those battle walkers would be great and then
you could give the lua and stuff to the pretty much dead D9 Team.
I did offer to try and make some of the bows if someone could find good pics of them.

What about a port?
We need someone with Avatar the game, and get them to port all the models over to GMod format.
Then you could make the bow SWEP, and someone can make Na'vi playermodels.
Remember the mechwarrior vehicle? Get an AMP model and with some scripting a that can work too!
So now, lets find us a porter.

I do have the game itself, if not nessesarily the programs to port the models. (I want the ships personally.)
I can't stand the idea of that entire movie, ugh! The ending gets me... friggin nature, nature wins at the end, they fit their arrows to penetrate futuristic weaponry! What the
%$%^ were they thinking? Models from the game isn't a half bad idea though. I'd like to see some models from that game, including the annoying ass Navi people.

Your'e hired!
Port over the whole thing if you want, the more the better.
Now all we need is some coders and animators to work the player models etc.
The AMP's (walkers) can be made with the scripts used to make the Mechwarrior vehicle featured in the ultimate vehicle pack.
And as someone said, Na'vi NPCs are a great idea. Yes, rebel and combine AI (two NPC classes) to make battles entertaining. Maybe even key character scripting (eg. Neytiri NPC with Alyx's AI scripting.)
Yeah, before you get too excited, I have no fracking clue how to port anything from anything. Tutorials would be nice.
Oh, and all the main characters in the movie are not in the game. I think the game comes a little before the events of the movie, or at least durring the absolute begining.

Uhh... I'll have to find some articles on porting.
From what i understand you first need to find out how to get the data from the game disk to your computer hard drive.
Then you'll have to somehow access the pack-files which contain the models and materials, and extract those.
THEN you need to find out how to convert it from whatever format it's in, to the format used by your modelling program, and the materials to .vtf format.
Thats my understanding of porting (i ported sounds and materials from DOOM 3, but i am limited model-wise...).
My explanation is horrifically simplified, so a tutorial is advised, but the first step SHOULD be relatively easy.
Good luck :patriot:
Ps. No main characters? That sucks :/
Well, there is only one of the Avatar main characters, and she is in it from the shoulders up only. Otherwise, its a completly seperate cast.

Haha, i could just imagine how it would look spawned in GMod [like the shoulder-up breen]...
Well i'll start hunting around for tips and tricks, but by the looks the game must be on some brand new platform, so a decompiler may need to be built from scratch. Or if there IS one, it would be FUCKING HARD TO FIND... knowing my luck with google i won't find it >_<
But i'll try.
