I have searched far and wide across the internet, and i cannot believe that no one has dont this yet... RAGDOLLED CLOTHES! Like pants, shirts, ect. They would make great comic props and funny for machinimas. Sadly, I have no modeling skills whatsoever, so, if anyone has free time on their hands, be the first to do this
Ever wonder why nobody did this?
It's a pain in the ass to make and to use. It's also incredibly useless, and very limited with Source. I ragdolled Vito's bottom coat flaps in this model. That's about as close as I got. http://www.garrysmod.org/downloads/?a=view&id=115357 It's just way too much trouble for what it's worth. You need tons of bones and time and most likely a high poly model.
actually ragdolled clothes would be useful in some things, its not hard at all, I could do it in 2 seconds using the blend tool with riging, pants would take like 5 bones to make a simple one
I've heard that Valve is going to incorporate cloth physics into the Source Engine when they release DOTA. Not sure if Garry is going to use it too, or, like the gradient textures in L4D2, leaves it out.
I would love ragdolled clothes for my nude models :D would be fun. Also hair. Dress them up like barbies.. I mean G.I. Joes *cough*
I meant the individual clothes themselves, for use in posing, comics, ect. not ones that are attached to a ragdoll.
It's not true! Francis from left 4 dead have a ragdolled leather jacket, remember that?
would be cool to have a ragdolled clothes.it can make a invisible man!!
