• 28 Days Later-isque zombie running animation that replaces fast zombie animations

Hi, I'm working on a gamemode called "Help! Zombies!" I'm currently using the fast zombie for my npc base, so that I don't spend most of my time scripting an SNPC. I'm looking for an animator that can make zombie animations that look like they're running on 2 legs like from 28 days later, and not this kangaroo looking kind of hop. A simplistic reference model would be great, and if you can try to keep the filesize down, that would be even more awesome. I know how to make animations on models myself, I'm just not very good. I'll eventually replace the animations some how.
You could try grabbing the sequences from the l4d commons. Might be what you need. Might even be using the valve biped.

I'm having trouble finding a lot of the programs because they usually point to a link on http://l4dmods.com/, which is down.
You need an older version of the decompiler for l4d stuff 0.3 works I think. Though I assume the zombie animations will be in something like zombie_shared infected_shared or something like that. I don't have l4d so can't check.
I would like to see some better zombies. If you get this working please upload it. I'd like to script some SNPC's with those anims.
I don't think decompiling the infected would get you the animations. I am pretty sure they use seperate .mdl files that exclusively have the animations and I don't think you can decompile those because they're different from regular .mdls.
you could try contacting whoever made these http://www.garrysmod.org/downloads/?a=view&id=57236
Those just use citizen animations.
Didn't one of the many modifications of SMod have a running zombie that had some custom animations
How did you make the nonzombie models use the fast zombie animations? I have been looking for such a thing in a long time! Ps, nice gamemode!
There are actually some sequences for the citizen model that would be appropriate, I believe they're called panic run or something. Take a look in the model viewer, I suppose it would be easier to use those animations than try and decompile the l4d infected models, oh there's also a panic idle animation that looks good too, hope that helps.
Surprises me nobody has tried to pitch some large-scale freeroam zombie mod. There's plenty of corpse model and stuff that'd make good zombies, it's only to gather up a ton of reasonable sweps, animate the zombies and rig for gore mod and such, and throw it all in an existing map, like Liberty City or something. It'd take some time, but yno, just surprises me there isn't a single group has decided to really put a ton of effort into something large scale. There's more than enough talented individuals on this board to make something epic and legit looking.

Can't remember what it was called though.
