Models look weird on 3D Max + need help adding bump mapping to models.

Hello everyone.
I've been extracting the models from Dead Space. I've successfully managed to get all the enemy models of the second game, however, with all the models, I have this weird problem.
The textures appear to reflect something on them, making the colors of the textures discolored. Only the most brightest textures appear, pitch black textures just appear and white and grey as the model reflects the surrounding screen.
Here is an example of a really dark colored enemy.

It's supposed to look something like this:

Another problem, or more of a question is that how do I add bump mapping on the models on top or below the c-textures so that the model doesn't look flat? I know you are supposed to do that with whatever game you are porting these models into but there is a way to add the bump mapping to 3D max. As you can see from the above images, the wounds on the arms should not be just completely flat but rather seem really uneven.
Here is the model and all the textures of this enemy:

Thank you for your efforts in advance.
The texture has transparency so 3ds max is probably 'blending' both texture and default diffuse color. Try setting that to full black maybe.
You may want to experiment some of these options on your bitmap map

Edit:
I think your download link is incorrect.

Thanks, I'll try that.
And I checked the download link and everything seemed normal. It contained the model and textures.
Try again, and see whatever issue you were facing has disappeared.

I just tried to link. And it didn't work. Am I suppose to login to download the file?
It seemed that I hadn't made a public link -____-
Try it again.

That did it, I'll give it a check before I head off to bed

Thanks

I got it!!!!!!!!!!!!
It was the "Shininess" setting on the "Architectular" setting.

But I still would like the bump effect on my models just to see how it looks like.
Just checked out the model, It may be a problem on your end, Cause it's ok for me unless thats not how it's suppose to look:

Maybe it's a problem with Gamma? I'm not sure.
I haven't messed around with the 3D Max settings, so maybe there is a lighting effect set on by default on the program itself, not a model?

It's also weird that I don't have that "Standard" texturing option for me.

I set everything like you did and it looks nothing like your's:

That looks like a Gamma issue now To fix this, Go to the Preferences tab thing.
[T]https://puu.sh/rQqDK/77e9b7746d.bmp[/T] Then go to the Gamma tab
[T]https://puu.sh/rQqE5/c962a61b27.bmp[/T] And if it doesn't change much, Change the Gamma under the texture thing
[T]https://puu.sh/rQqGQ/9479647a40.bmp[/T]
Nope, still looks the same.

Changing the gamma of the texture will make it either too dark or too white.
[editline]21st October 2016[/editline]
It doesn't have that shining effect that shows the bump effect like on your screen.

If I put the specular level to 999 and leave everything else like you showed, it looks like this:

Go in Render mode (SHIFT+Q or Rendering -> Render) not the working space...
This is the outcome:

It looks really weird and also nothing like this:

I reset 3D Max and now the rendering looks normal:

But it's not what it looked on isaa1's screen.
[editline]21st October 2016[/editline]
It's weird.... actually, it does look like now how it did on isaa1's screen. But I don't get why does it not appear like that on the editor. The rendering production has very low resolution.
Have you set your viewport resolutions?
Customize -> Preferences -> Viewport -> Configure Driver and use these settings:

Note that this is for 3dsmax 2011. Your version may be different.

For nitrous viewport driver you change texture size here:

Top left of (Perspective?) viewport, Click the word Realistic/Shaded etc. Then go to Configure
Alright I got it now, but not sure what it changed.
The editor model still doesn't have the light reflected in a way your model showed up and the image rendered by clicking SHIFT + Q is still small and low resolution. However, that one looks like how it did on your editor screen.

This is how it looks like with your material editor settings on my editor
And this is how it looks like in the Render screen
You need to set the specular levels higher and also enable maps preview in your perspective viewport

Thank you!
That did it!
Now the models look like how isaa1's first picture looked like.

Just want to ask about the textures from the first Dead Space, I see textures with S and O ends, how do I set them up?

that link has the model of a character with textures ending with them.

How do you make lashes show up without having a part being just completely brown?
[editline]22nd October 2016[/editline]
I got the eye lash part fixed thanks to isaa1
