Change of plans.
I'm ditching this, because the method I was using to make these was WAY more time-consuming than it needed to be. Plus, the end product was meh at best.
The original "pack" of however many portraits I made is still there. I just won't be adding to it anymore.
I WILL NOT MAKE A PORTRAIT OF CHUCK NORRIS.
I WILL NOT MAKE PORTRAITS OF FICTIONAL CHARACTERS (YES, THAT INCLUDES ANIME CHARACTERS).
I WILL NOT MAKE PORTRAITS OF RAPPERS, HIP HOP ARTISTS, POP ARTISTS, EMO/"HOT TOPIC PUNK" BANDS (GREEN DAY, MY CHEMICAL ROMANCE, ETC.), SHITCORE METAL BANDS (90% OF ALL METAL BANDS FORMED AFTER THE 80s), OR JUSTIN BIEBER.
I WILL NOT MAKE PORTRAITS OF PEOPLE WHO ARE ONLY INTERNET-FAMOUS (CHRIS CROCKER, TAY ZONDAY AKA CHOCOLATE RAIN GUY, MADDOX, MOOT, TOM FULP, ANY MACHINIMA MAKER (Ask Steven Spielberg or George Lucas if they've ever heard of Das Bo Schitt or Djy1991; I guaren-goddamn-tee you they'll scratch their heads and go back to raping your favorite childhood movies))[/B]
I've never been very good at making models in any program, but I've always wanted to make props for GMod.
So I read about this plugin thing for Source SDK called 'Propper'. It allows you to take a brush from Hammer and export it as a model for use in Source games.
I thought this was freakin' awesome. So even though I can't make super-cool detailed stuff like ragdolls and whatnot, I can at least make a few basic models.

Anyway, I've decided to make a model pack of portraits of famous people (basically just pictures of famous people on a 'picture frame').
Here's a few views of one of the portrait props. The 'portrait' itself appears to be behind a sheet of glass. [i]That's because it is.[/i]

The texture for the frame are atrocious and the reason the frame is glass, is because when you compile using propper, you select a [B]surface prop[/B] using the prop_info_options entity.
There isn't a fix, unless you use two models, weld them together then make people download the models and an advanced duplicator text file.

And instead of changing the size of the frame, which is a piece of piss (literally a select and drag process) you've made the textures stretched/squashed.

Thanks for the input. I'll try to find a better texture for the frame before I release these, but for now I'm using this one as a placeholder.
