• Visor on model not rendering correctly [SFM]

Only section I could think to post this, but the model I'm using has a visor attached to it, but models I put behind it don't render correctly. Is there a fix for this? This is how the model looks in the render. Thanks.
Where's the model from? I'll take a look at the materials.
if the model is using a translucent material you gotta compile it with $mostlyopaque in the qc. this will shovel the render job for the glass past the opaque models. if you don't wanna do that, i could recommend using just a lil or no color at all and a cubemap and $additive 1 and $envmaptint something. this should render a lil bit of the reflection as a proxy of the glass surface. if that's not enough and you use sfm you could perhaps try a negative blend for the basetexture and still add the envmap somehow. for further ideas of this reflection mapping i'd recommend asking bluflytrap. he might know that better then me.
