How do I import Maps into 3DS MaX?

I realize this is in the modeling section, however more people who use 3DS are in the modeling section than the map area so I decided to ask here. Anyways how do I do it? What programs do I need? Is it possible?

Well I believe you can import vmf's in XSI Mod Tool. So I guess through that you could export it as something else and import it in max.
