• How do I export .smd/.max files to work with GMOD/L4D2?

After being said no rudely by Max, If someone else can help me better than his rude ass then thank you. For L4D2 I might just port the model instead of moving the bones over to a L4D2 character. A friend of mine wants a model BUT, She doesn't have any tools and I do.
Frankly his response was perfectly reasonable. You most likely randomly added him and asked a question that can be answered by reading one of the many tutorials out there.
lets get this menie head he has no right to not explain 50 steps on the whim.
Compiling models for source is a whole thing man, and to do it for character models, and have them work properly is probably one of the most complicated things you can do. The first thing you should look for specifically is a tutorial with the 3D program of your choice, 3DS Max, Maya, Blender being the main ones. Facepunch has some good ones.
