Ok, so i got a request, can somebody convert this MMD model to a Gmod one? http://creinie.deviantart.com/art/Celestia-Ludenberg-DOWNLOAD-394422043?q=gallery%3ACreinie&qo=1 The download is in the description. Also i got a question: Is it possible to play with a custom model on a Gmod server? For example, is possible to replace uhm... the "Gman" model with a custom one? I don't really need a Ragdoll for this one. Guys, if you are good with 3ds Max please help me, i don't really know how to use this program, i'm only asking for a conversion. Oh, i'm italian, so sorry for my shitty english.
I might give this a try. No promises (Mostly because I have no idea how this stuff works), but at least you can be 100% sure this'll be done by the end of the year. I've never tried converting from MMD let alone rigging at all, and I had a fucking blast playing Dangan Ronpa so why the fuck not? As for the second part, it's somewhat possible if one were to decompile the model and compile it again under the GMan playermodel's name, for instance, and placed that in addons or anywhere where it'll override the default GMan. AFAIK when hexing the file path has to have the exact same amount of characters as the original file did, so that might be out of the question. Also, if you really WERE to swap up said playermodel, you'd be the only one able to see *EVERYONE* using the GMan playermodel as Celes, but I presume you already knew that. If you can find more Dangan Ronpa MMD crap on the 'Net, throw it in here, please.
As far as i know converting a MMD model is not that hard, i mean, if you know how to do that it will only take minutes. 1337gamer15 is pretty good on modelling, but:
Nah, i'm pretty much on strike until I can get a new apartment
That's what he said... that made me really sad. Btw i will now search for some Dangan Ronpa models, thanks for the reply.
I just started and I'm already running into issues. As it turns out, 3ds Max 2010 doesn't like .pmx files, and I've tried .pmd converters but they don't seem to work because Celes has more polygons than .pmd can handle. I DID find a Junko .pmx, buuuuut... Anybody know of anything that can convert .pmx files to a format 3ds Max can handle? Junko's got faults in the file and Celes has too many polygons to convert to .pmd.
