Out of all the game console models, why doesn't the VCS exist? [thumb]http://upload.wikimedia.org/wikipedia/commons/c/c6/Atari-2600-6-Switch.jpg[/thumb] [thumb]http://upload.wikimedia.org/wikipedia/commons/3/33/Atari-2600-Joystick.jpg[/thumb] (imagine the cartridge is blank) For SFM purposes, the console's knobs should move up and down, and the joystick should move around. The cartridge itself should have an easy-to-edit texture.
Can someone make ET cartridge
Can someone make ET cartridge
I can do a bumpmap later
"nice big image" I can do a bumpmap later
How foreboding would it looks with some negative rimlighting?
How's this?
Kinda looks like it's made out of leather. I like it.

You know you could actual change the health kits and ammo packs into games for TF2 then make all the class's into consoles and have endless fun.
How's this?
hoo man it makes me think how my brother got me this game for my 18th birthday from a vintage game store as a joke. i'd love to see someone use that as a joke in a gmod or sfm vid with this
Started doodling it and kind of didn't stop, Hell I was putting off making one of these anyways: Sadly I can't post it just yet, I need to make a proper spec map and set up the switches first, but here it is before I go to bed. Don't want the thread dying completely while I'm away. Back in a bit.
Woah sorry for the delay, I didn't get around to uploading it for some reason Looks a little better once I stopped being as much of a lazy arse: Here you go: http://dl.dropbox.com/u/37546036/Atari2600.zip I have no idea if the bones will work in SFM, my guess is probably not though. They exist at least. Now for the joystick
Question, how'd you make the diffuse map
A bit OT, but mind if I port this to The Sims 3, too?
I have no idea if the bones will work in SFM, my guess is probably not though. They're exist at least. Now for the joystick
It does. I'll start re scaling and re texturing my cartridge to match yours.
Here's the controller too: http://dl.dropbox.com/u/37546036/AtariController.zip Also works as a ragdoll this time.
Question, how'd you make the diffuse map
It's just some base colours with the hard edges highlighted, some plastic/light grunge images overlayed over in parts and some good old ambient occlusion Not really the best way to do it, but it seems alright for small stuff

Wow, this turned out better than I expected!
That looks great, brings back fond memories of shitty games.
I'll start re scaling and re texturing my cartridge to match yours.
How's that coming along?
Oh boy, Angry Video Game nerd (James Rolfe) will want it, too.
How's that coming along?
Sorry, I've been busy and I can't seem to figure out how to make the cartridge look the same as freeman's props. Download: http://puu.sh/2rxvN I copied freeman's controller vmt settings (I hope that's alright) and started tweaking them as best I could to match but nothing acceptable so far. [EDIT] Updated with template

Oh, I'm sorry. I'll made a transparency template and updated the link. Download: http://puu.sh/2rxvN
Should we submit this to the new SFM workshop? http://steamcommunity.com/workshop/browse/?appid=1840

Download Link is dead:(
