GUIStudioMDL Crashing - refuses to compile

Every time I hit compile in GUIStudioMDL, it crashes immediately without showing anything in the log. I've tried placing it in 3 different places:

sourcesdk/bin
sourcesdk/bin/orangebox/bin
sourcesdk/bin/ep1/bin

And it all has the same results. The QC is loads fine.

GUIStudioMDL is the latest version (V2.2).
