Ilwrath made the Lasgun from scratch? Looks pretty cool.
Good job. I've wanted a decent one of these since EVER
I've updated the file with fixed lightwarp, and I added pic of the color variations to the OP. So I'd recommend to redownload it.

Mmm... To much Phong? or to much light details?
Those soldiers look cool.
Please in the name of the Emperor release those guardsmen!:byodood:
In due time they will, or maybe not, could be just private models to them. Looks alittle too blocky but that's just me
Naw, there is a project going on right now to port DW2 stuff, which would be why they're so blocky. I just want them sooooo bad!
Oh god what is this I don't even
oh shit you're working on this project too? I'm even more excited also great job on the lasgun, can't wait for the guardsmen models so I can go destroy xenos for the emprah!
You forgot the bayonet, How can they possibly shout "Use the bloody bayonets!" without them! Looks good, but a bit of an odd lighting issue, they seem to be selfillum
Ah man I thought it was Star Wars

Fun facts: The guardsman texture has over 70 layers in 13 layer folders. The helmet texture has 11 layers, and the backpack texture has 28 layers. A single soldier has 109 photoshop layers across 3 textures, most containing a custom layer style, all made from scratch. The texture work took over 10 days of dedicated work, in conjunction with two modelers. It is by far my biggest project ever undertaken. The finished project should have 7 separate skins and fuck knows how many bodygroups, probably providing several thousnad combos. (I'll try to get the exact number later, from memory, I'm estimating over 30,000)
I seem to be typecast as the guy that will spend hours trying to bring DOW/2 models up to speed with the magic of textures.
Well you definitely did improve them quite a lot though. Good thing the _tem can be still used to edit them. Worked pretty well when making that Khorne based one.
Release the guardsmen now! :byodood:
