Found a websitre reselling copyrighted models, need advice

So while googling picture of the Metal Storm VLE I came across this website:

This site seems to share models for posing purposes, many of these models coming from various games, like we do in gmod or sfm.
However, the models on this site seem to be sold.

And these are just the ones I could confirm. There are more.
Now I came here because of two reasons. First, I want to know the community's opinion on this subject.
Secondly, I have noticed the Call of Duty models on this website have complete viewmodels, while the ones extracted from the actual games are incomplete. Where could they have possibly acquired this?
Tracking down the whois yielded

So that explains quite a lot.
Well if you'd like my opinion, I think that this is stupid af, like you're ripping stuff from a game that's paid for, then making it into a prop/model then reselling it for money. If you made the props/models 100% from scratch then thats fair game, but taking assets from a game and selling them, nah thats fucked. That's just my opinion.
I don't see what you can do about it. Only the copyright owner has the power to go after these guys. The best thing you can do is let them handle it.
^
agreed. nothing you can do about it. no report button there. and it seems some russian tryna make some small bucks. i don't care. i only got one prop on this list i may have contributed to rip a portion of it. i can't even tell. the rest is the problem of the owners of the ips, not mine or ours. don'T even think about it. this is wild internet land. you gotta tell this crap those owners. snitch. if they got problems they gotta handle this.
eot
I merely wanted to draw attention towards this, so someone more qualified than me could take the appropriate steps.
Furthermore, I am curious where this site obtained the complete viewmodels for the cod weapons.

np. opinion noticed. and...
if you want their data (which seems better then what you have) you know how it works!?! (i'd not even think twice - those are just some gun models. :v: wtf.)

Only world models are complete. Not View ones.
I know. But they have complete viewmodels on that website. I am wondering where they came from.

They aren't straight from the game is what I mean, the models and textures look modified, someone had done work on them.
I feel that's true for some, although not all.
Well, I think it's quite dumb since most companies are ok with people extracting models and porting them over to other games, but making money out of them is illegal if the company doesn't want that (Wich is the most normal thing in most of the cases if not the 100%).
Maybe the people behind that website have come to an agreement with the companies and are able to sell the models in a legal way, but yet still, it's stupid and I don't really see why someone should buy models when there are a huge amount of other webpages that provide them for free
This shit is bad because it gives rightholders an argument to go up against any sort of ripping and reverse engineering.
That's part of the main issue I have with it, as the existence of this site might create lots of problems for the rest of us.
They've been around for years, and they aren't alone. Here's a similar site: http://freedom-of-art.ucoz.com/. If the copyright holders intended to, or crucially in this case, could do anything about it, they probably would have by now. But as a general guideline, never root too hard for the legal teams of companies like EA and Activision. They probably don't deserve your moral support.
I know the OP has the right intentions, but what these guys are doing is harmless compared to some of the subscription warez sites out there re-distributing published artists' content. They're the ones taking money out of honest folks' pockets and putting it in their own. If you want to shake your fists at internet pirates (its about all you can do), shake it at them. Guarantee you your average Daz PA doesn't give a tinker's damn about FoRender.
Like I said, I merely wanted to raise awareness and find out what FP thought about this.
I honestly do not care what happens to these guys. The only issue I have with these sites is what unidentified mentioned.
Oh wow. That's pretty pathetic
The sad thing is, if its in another country there isn't much you can do, even if you hold the copy write. Someone pirated something I made for sale, and its basically lost to the internet now.
