-snip- Hacking male_09's head onto Barney's body... EDIT: Got it to work, but now I need help here. After removing Barney's head and collar (because if I don't remove the collar it turns into a missing texture), there's empty space between the male_09's neck and the body. How do I properly fill this? I tried making my own polygons but that turns into missing textures as well (and I have no idea how to fix that). :S Here's what I mean: This is what it looks like ingame if I leave Barney's collar on (I have no idea how to add the texture for it, I tried adding it to erdim_cylmap from Barney's facemap but it looks the same), and the face is all blocky. Bump because I've had the thing open for over a day and I really want to get this over with. The solution can't be THAT complex...
weld the vertexes of the suit around the neck to close the space. Also don't forget to resmooth the model (might have to reset normals first) It gives some stretching, but I think most other MP headhacks deal with it the same way as f.r as I've seen/

I can only select either the head or the body, so I don't know how to weld from the head to the body. D: Using 3DS Max 9.
You need to look at more tutorials online, here's a good place to start: http://cg.tutsplus.com/ Anyway, if it is anything like maya, you'd need to select both the head and body, then combine them. Try selecting both and going to groups->combine. Then try right clicking on it, and selecting "vertex". Then move the vertexes till they look connected. (or merge them together) Although that would just be a simple way of doing it in maya. There is many different things you can do, for example to fix the purple and black textures you need to make sure a texture is applied to it. The only thing i think you can do is watch several tutorial videos, and whenever you see something that you never thought you could do, try and learn it.
Eh I wouldn't merge the the collar vertexes with the neck vertexes. Instead sort of collapse the collar ones into one. That ought to close the gap well enough.

At the end there, it shows what options I have under the Group and Modifier lists. It's a helluva lot faster/easier than explaining the problem with some screenshots.
