Hello everyone, im starting production for a mod next month and it seems like I have all the models I need exept for the one that is used in the opening. Its a kind of train that hangs off a monorain track, one hanging off on both sides of the track ( Think of 2 saddlebags on a bike)
Its moderately complicated and only requires two animations.
Here are the quick Blueprints I whipped up into paint. (Sorry if they're not too great, but I copy all this from stuff I draw by hand.)

The inside, as you can see it has a series of shelves on both sides of the train. In the picture the shelves are close together, but when this is made I would like it to be extended a bit. Possibly two human-lengths wide (Standing)
The situation is, the player wakes up in a pod in the train heading towards a city. The player manages to unhinge himself from the pod and after taking in the sights smashes through a window. These trains will also be used later in the mod, so I need an animation of the train door opening. The way the door works, is that the three pieces in the front (Each one has a window on it) splits in a differant direction, opening the train.
And thats pretty much it. Give me suggestions of how the design can be improved ect. Just leave a reply if your interested.
Thanks :)
If people are staying away because it looks like too much trouble, you will recieve full credit as a modeller in the game (Opening and the ending credits) and I could make you an offer about being paid.
:/
Why isnt anyone responding? I can negotiate the price if you PM me.
Oh and at least have the common curtosy of telling mw why you wont do it or why you wont respond.
It's been less than a day, and you've bumped it twice already. Most threads like this won't get anyone who's interested within the first week.
I see. I dont understand why though...
There are very few actual modelers at Facepunch; those who are, either are still in the infant stages of learning modeling, or are very good and keep almost exclusively to themselves. I'm sure there are more, but they just never mention being modelers.

BabyFawnLegs.
That is all.

I haven't seen him in a few months. He used to post pretty frequently. Also, he's quite literally the only exception to what I just said, so people are constantly requesting him to do stuff.
Well thats unfortunate, because im stuck in pre-production untill I get this moel :/

him? BFL is a girl.
If not having this model is keeping you from even starting on other things, you need to either rethink your workflow or rethink your mod.
If this is just a cosmetic thing, and you can use a placeholder at least until testing, it won't be holding you up. If it's a completely necessary part of your design, but you're completely reliant on others to make it (and you haven't even found someone to do it), you should probably rethink your design to work with what (and who) you have, not what you want.
*One week later*
No replies. On page five or six. Not getting too many views there, bumping is neccisary to succeed.
Listen i may model it, but the texturing will be a problem xD do you have texture artists?
