• 3DS MAX Modelling Help!

Hey, just learnt how to model a shotgun (hi-Poly) Im modeling the Butt of the Gun, But when I use the "[URL="http://puu.sh/6v4zG.png"]Cut[/URL]" Tool It messes up. I can use it, its just like I have a Snap Angle, or Whatever on See. [IMG]http://puu.sh/6v4Bg.png[/IMG] The Gray Line, the one I want is under it. but when I get near the end. it goes up, to where I cant finish it. Whats the Proplem? I've checked online, and found something. but it didn't work.
So what you're saying is that when you cut the cursor snaps to vertices? I'm not sure what the problem is so here are a few pointers: - When you cut in the middle of a polygon an extra edge is automatically created that links your last cut to a nearby vertex. - Try turning off Keyboard Shortcut Override Toggle. That's the icon that looks like an up arrow. - Try cutting in an Edit Poly modifier instead of the base Editable Poly. - Try cutting in a different sub-object level like Edge or Polygon. - When you're working with very small geometry these types of problems can happen. Try scaling all of the objects by 1000% and applying Reset Xform under Utilities.

Is this a new problem or does it happen all the time? Does it happen with only that object or all objects? Try creating a new scene and merging the geometry into it. Try exporting as an .obj file and importing it back again. Try converting the object to an Editable Mesh and then back to Editable Poly.

Except for the .obj, witch I will try soon. gtg right now. [editline]23rd January 2014[/editline] Fixed it, I just change the a different Viewport. some how that fixed it.
(SORRY FOR BUMP!!!!!) Hey, im having a problem myself. When im using the Cut Tool. (Like isaa1) it is using Quick Slice, but when its highlighted Cut See??? [IMG]http://puu.sh/6AlW6.png[/IMG] [IMG]http://puu.sh/6AlHV.png[/IMG] Kinda sucks. need that tool to continue my model. but its broken, I've tried. Restarting Max. Changing Viewports. Using Quick Slice itself And I can't place Cut with the Quick Slice thing. Forgot Real pic. EDIT: Do you also know how to stop the Display Driver Selection thing when I start 3Ds?
