Whenever I try to full compile a map the vrad runs through good, but after it is finished with vrad it repeats again and crashes vrad. I can still play the map but all the characters are completely black.
Post your compile log.
are you compiling with both LDR and HDR at once? I used to have this problem, as does many others. Compile once in LDR, then do a seperate compile in HDR.
so what your saying, is if i have both Run Rad at normal and HDR on at same time the vrad will crash?
Not always, this only seems to happen with some people, including myself. Of course, there's also a chance this crash could be caused by something else.

Compiling both can give unexpected bugs, go to expert, press the lights option and make sure it says -ldr in the beginning, make a new one thats exactly the same but instead it should say -hdr. Should look something like this: command: $light_exe parameters: -ldr -game $gamedir $path\$file command: $light_exe parameters: -hdr -game $gamedir $path\$file This is used instead of -both which it compiles with if you just check the "HDR" box. Which can give bugs.
You can't compile without LDR... and a second compile overwrites the first, compiling with the HDR box ticked compiles it with both.
You can compile HDR only, that will make LDR run in fullbright. Though I never tried, you could, theoritically, run the map with a full compile with LDR only, and then switch to advanced, and not compiling anything besides HDR lightting. But, as I said, never tried.
You can't compile without LDR... and a second compile overwrites the first, compiling with the HDR box ticked compiles it with both.
It works for me. I just use the expert compile commands and use the -ldr and -hdr commands.
