In the Second Video:
I'm guessing you used Carve for much of that geometry? When I used to use Carve all the time (when I didn't know how to use the Clipping Tool), it caused a lot of geometry errors, sort of like that.
For the first 2.. for which videos? and for the third comment I'll learn the clipping tool XD
